Vista create an impact with new dome range

Reading, UK

Vista has introduced a family of impact resistant 3-axis domes to sit between its standard varifocal fixed style domes and the fully vandal resistant VVRD range.

The range’s unique case design offers the installer both a flush and surface mount in a single model. This not only saves time during installation but, coupled with the 3-axis gimble, also allows the domes to be used for a greater variety of applications. Installation times are further enhanced by the service-jack socket which allows the installer to connect a local test monitor directly to the dome without having to disturb the pre-installed cabling.

The true day/night camera option is fitted with a mechanical IR switching filter which allows IR illumination at night whilst retaining high-quality images during the day. The colour/monochrome option allows a software switch for internal non-IR illuminated installations, providing clean, monochrome images in low light conditions.

Included in the range is a Pixim-based wide dynamic range camera which manages lighting extremes within the same scene to produce clear, accurate images. This makes them ideal for internal applications where the scene includes both internal and external light sources, such as in reception areas and doorways.

“These new additions have filled a gap previously found in the Vista product range,” says Mark Pritchard, divisional director for Vista. “The features and performance achieved by these cameras give them a definite edge over other comparable products on the market.”
